Chelsea players respond to Jose Mourinho sacking

Some players react on Social Media following massive announcement

Chelsea Football Club sacked manager Jose Mourinho yesterday afternoon and some of the first-team players have been quick to post their thoughts on the matter.

The Blues are sitting 16th in the Premier League following nine defeats from 16 games and sit just one point above the relegation-zone, which comes just months after winning the title.

Chelsea officials admitted it was a tough decision, but a decision that had to be made following recent results and recent performances from the players.

Several first-team stars have been questioned for their performances this season, but some of them have also been quick to react to the news about Mourinho.

Messages from Players

Cesc Fabregas, who has been one questioned for his form, was the first to post about the news and on his official Facebook, he wrote: “Thank you for all you have done for me. I owe you a lot and we will all miss you. Good luck in the future and i know you will be back soon.”

Fabregas was soon followed by his Spanish counterpart Cesar Azpilicueta, who wrote: “Today is a sad day.

“I would publicly like to thank JosĂ© Mourinho for his contribution to this club and for everything he has taught me over the years.

“I want to wish him all the best for the future. With him we have achieved very important titles and memories for the fans that will remain in the history of Chelsea forever. He will always be remembered. Thank you mister.”

Finally, club-captain John Terry posted his thoughts about the decision, as he took to Instagram to leave a farewell message to his former-boss.

He wrote: “Thank You doesn’t seem enough

“Sad sad day. Gonna miss you Boss.

“The Very Best I have EVER worked with, unbelievable memories together.”

He then went on to hashtag the following: “#boss #friend #specialone #bestever @chelseafc.”
