According to reports, Chelsea are willing to sign AS Monaco striker, Radamel Falcao, on a permanent deal over the Summer despite his struggles for Manchester United.

The Colombian has spent the season on loan at Old Trafford and has failed to impress during his time in England, scoring just four goals all season, despite his mega-contract worth ÂŁ265k-a-week.

United agreed to the loan deal on transfer deadline day and were then told by the French club that to make the deal permanent, it would cost them ÂŁ43million.

However, after a less than impressive season, it’s believed Louis Van Gaal will turn up the chance to sign the striker on a permanent basis at the end of the season.

Despite failing to impress at Old Trafford, the 29-year-old is still attracting interest from Premier League sides, as Tottenham Hotspur and league-leaders Chelsea are both considering making formal moves for him.

The London duo will face competition from across Europe, as Valencia and Juventus are also both interested, but Falcao may be tempted to stay in England to prove whether he can make it or not.
