Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich, is ready to splash £45m for the Athletico Madrid striker, Radamel Falcao.
The Colombian striker is building up quite a reputation as one of the best strikers in the world. He also bagged a hat-trick against Chelsea in this years UEFA Super Cup.
It is reported that the Chelsea chairman is becoming more and more frustrated with £50m man, Fernando Torres and Falcao is the man he wants to bolster up their front-line.
A source quoted in the Sun has said that the deal is being readied to bring Falcao to Stamford Bridge.
‘The groundwork is already being done for Falcao,’ said the source.
‘The owner wants everything in place now so a deal can be done before any other club can make a counter-offer.’
