Barcelona are in the market for a player who is able to cover for Sergio Busquets and the club view Matic as a potential candidate due to his physicality and ability to score goals.
It’s reported that Antonio Conte sees Matic as a key figure in his midfield and wants the 28-year-old to commit to a new contract as soon as possible.
But while a potential move to Barcelona is believed to excite Matic, Chelsea are willing to offer the Serb a significant salary increase, which could see him decide to stay at Stamford Bridge rather than be tempted by a move to La Liga.
