Chelsea send scouts to watch Bundesliga star

Premier League giants Chelsea have sent scouts to Germany to watch Borussia Monchengladbach star Thorgan Hazard – brother of Eden – against Wolfsburg this weekend according to reports.

The Belgian winger has starred in the Bundesliga after moving to Gladbach in 2014 and could reunite with his brother at Stamford Bridge in the new year if a deal can be negotiated.

The younger Hazard spent three years on the books at Chelsea earlier in his career but never made a first team appearance. Now though it looks as if he is ready to make the step up to the Premier League.

So far this season he has scored five and assisted twice for the German side this season, who are flying high in the Bundesliga where they are currently in the Champions League places.

A similar player to Eden, Thorgan may not quite be in the same talent bracket as his brother but could provide a good option for Antonio Conte, especially with rumours that Willian could leave the club.

The Belgian international recently told press that if Chelsea pay for his transfer then there is a good chance that he will move back to West London in the near future.

He is an action for Gladbach away at Wolfsburg on Sunday evening, and will want to make a positive impression given rumours that there will be Blues scouts in attendance.
