Chelsea set to sign Griezmann and Rudiger

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is set to spend big in January on star pairing Antoine Griezmann and Antonio Rudiger.

It has not been exactly a dream start for new manager Antonio Conte, with consecutive defeats against title rivals Liverpool and Arsenal highlighting the fact that something is missing in the Blues squad.

The west London club had a poor season by their regards last season and finished in just 10th position in the Premier League table.

Chelsea have not replaced any of their more experienced players since last term and have found it hard to play against the ‘big boys’ this time around.

The four-time Premier League winners have a pretty quiet summer transfer window before they brought Marcos Alonso to Stamford Bridge while also re-signing David Luiz on deadline day.

It is understood that Abramovich is now worried about the club’s run of form but is tempted to make big money moves for highly-rated pairing Griezmann and Rudiger in the January transfer window.

According to the Daily Telegraph, it is reported that a deal for the Atletico Madrid forward is unlikely to be made until next summer but Roma defender could be bought in January.
