Chelsea set to lose trio

Chelsea are preparing to lose three out of their four strikers this Summer as Jose Mourinho eyes offensive reinforcements ahead of next season.

The Blues fell to a shock defeat on Saturday at the hands of Crystal Palace, and the result has left their title hopes hanging in the balance after Manchester City picked up a point, and Liverpool picked up all three.

If Mourinho’s men were to miss out on the Premier Leauge title, many fans would blame it on the lack of a world-class striker, and that is something Mourinho is desperate to work on once the current campaign ends.

The likes of Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba have not been deadly enough in front of goal, and with City having Sergio Aguero and Liverpool having the SAS, they have left Mourinho’s side behind with their firepower.

Due to the poor campaign, both Torres and Ba are set to leave Stamford Bridge in the Summer and they could be followed by on-loan striker Romelu Lukaku, who is currently helping Everton achieve a Champions League spot.

The Belgium striker has been superb over the past two seasons, but clearly Mourinho doesn’t see him as the man to fire Chelsea back to the title-winning days, and a Summer move for Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa is predicted to be on the cards.
