Chelsea are planning to hijack United’s attempts to sign Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado.

The Colombian star has been linked with the Red Devils and a ÂŁ36 million pound move was thought to be on the cards.

However, it is now understood that United may face competition to sign the wanted winger, with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho keen to bring in the player as soon as possible.

Mourinho is to use Marko Marin as bait, with Fiorentina keen on the unwanted player, as part of a money plus player transfer.

Barcelona are still thought to be in the race for Cuadrado aswell, with the Spanish Giants refusing to give up on signing the Colombian.

But in order to finalise a deal, Barcelona would need to offload Dani Alves, something which the club are unwilling to do.
