Chelsea are reportedly interested in bringing Burnley striker, Danny Ings, to Stamford Bridge having scouted the forward since his Premier League arrival.
Burnley were promoted from the Championship last season and much of that was down to the goals of Ings, who has managed to carry it over in England’s top division.
Many are saying Sean Dyche’s side will only survive in the Premier League if they can keep Ings at the club all season and if they can keep him fit, but with his contract expiring in the Summer, The Clarets could be forced to cash in on him now.
Talk around the club is that they could keep Ings until the end of the season, lose him for nothing, but then replace him with the money they get for staying up, if that’s what they can achieve, which they believe they can if they manage to keep the striker.
According to reports, Chelsea scouts have sent back glowing reports to Jose Mourinho regarding the 22-year-old, who is keen to sign a striker to replace Didier Drogba, who is set to leave at the end of the season.
Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Leicester City are other clubs monitoring the hit-man.
