Jose Mourinho is monitoring contract talks at Anfield
Chelsea are reportedly considering a Summer swoop for Liverpoool ace Jordan Henderson.
After finding out that Raheem Sterling won’t be signing a new deal until at least the Summer, Liverpool officials are now focusing their attentions on the vice-captain Henderson, but after initial talks, the Englishman snubbed the first contract offer.
According to reports, Henderson was offered an extension and a deal worth £80k-a-week, but he rejected those terms as he wanted a bigger salary.
The England international will be entering his final year next season and The Reds are desperate to get him committed so that they don’t risk losing him on a free this time next year.
Now it’s being reported that Chelsea are interested in signing the 24-year-old after his impressive back-to-back campaigns, and they will continue to monitor his contract saga with Liverpool.
