Chelsea attacker Willian believes that Jose Mourinho is the right man to take Chelsea back up the Premier League table, despite the club’s poor form over recent months.

The Blues find themselves with just 11 points on the board from 11 Premier League games so far this season, and that form along with some controversial incidents have put Mourinho’s future in doubt.

He has incurred various fines from the FA this season for his outbursts, was sent to the stands during the defeat to West Ham and is also facing legal action over the incident with former club physio Eva Carneiro following their spat in August.

However Willian, who was brought to the club by Mourinho in 2013 from Anzi Makhachkala, feels that the ex-Inter Milan and Real Madrid boss is still the one to move the club forward despite their shortfalls so far this campaign.

“He gives us confidence to play and show our quality,” said Willian.

“The results aren’t coming but we have to keep going. We need to train more, fight and the results will come.

“We know we have pressure and we know we are in a bad situation because we are not winning matches, but we can turn the situation around and we can do it in the next match against Dynamo Kiev.”
