Lawyer Ricardo Cardoso has revealed Diego Costa will hand in a transfer request.
Costa wants to return to his former club Atletico Madrid, however a deal is complicated.
The Spanish side have a transfer embargo in put place this summer and will not be able to register players until January 1.
Diego Simeone’s side are yet to come up with a proposal that Chelsea would accept and Costa remains a Blue.
But Cardoso says he is ready to up the ante to get the forward out of Stamford Bridge.
He told Spanish outlet EFE: “We are going to use all legal mechanisms to hold Chelsea accountable for his behavior.
“This will make it possible for Diego Costa to leave”
“We will formally request the transfer request.”
