Chelsea superstar injured in Leicester City draw

Gary Cahill suffered an injury to his right hamstring during Chelsea’s clash against Leicester City.

He was substituted off in the first half of the game, after pulling up in the 33rd minute of the game. In pursuit of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, he pulled his hamstring, and required medical assistance on the field, and subsequently limped off the pitch.

However, Antonio Conte later conceded that the injury was not a serious one and that he doesn’t expect the 32-year-old to be out for a long time.

“I think he is with the doctor now, but it’s OK, I do not think it was serious,” Conte told BBC.

Cahill was replaced by Andreas Christensen, despite Conte having the option of bringing David Luiz from the bench.

Despite being reduced to 10-men following a red card to Ben Chilwell, Leicester City managed to keep the score tied at 0-0.
