According to reports, Chelsea are lining up a £15million bid for Hoffenheim attacker Roberto Firmino.
The club have already wrapped up a mega-deal for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa, and after the player himself confirmed the move on his official instagram account, it looks like an announcement of the £32million signing will be made sooner rather than later.
Original reports suggested that an announcement will not be made until early June, but after Costa confirmed it himself, they may push forward the statement.
However, Costa is clearly not enough for Jose Mourinho, who has now been given the green-light to spend £15m on the 22-year-old attacker from the Bundesliga.
Firmino has had a superb season for Hoffenheim, becoming the highest-scoring Brazilian in Europe this season, but despite that, he still missed out on their World Cup squad for this Summer.
It’s believed that Chelsea will face competition from Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona and also Liverpool for the forward, but it’s thought that a move to the Premier League favours the Brazilian.
