Another defensive problem for manager Jose Mourinho
Chelsea have been handed a bitter blow as Antonio Rudiger is close to completing a deal with Italian side Roma.
The 22-year-old Stuttgart defender has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, as Jose Mourinho looks to tighten up his back line.
However, Roma have moved ahead of the Premier League title-holders, to recruit the highly-rated player.
LOAN DEAL IN THE PIPELINE
Roma are in talks with the former Borussia Dortmund youth starlet, with a view to a £15m permanent transfer next summer.
According to Football Italia, Rudiger is set to make his debut for the club over the course of the weekend.
