Chelsea target slams the door on move to Stamford Bridge

Stuttgart defender and Chelsea target Antonio Rudiger has thrown a spanner in the works of Jose Mourinho’s defensive recruitment, as the young German central defender is a huge fan of Chelsea’s rivals Arsenal.

Mourinho has allegedly made Rudiger his top target for the January transfer window and has set aside ÂŁ7 million to splash out on the defender, however Rudiger would rather join Arsenal.

The defender has been quoted in an interview with Bild as saying, “I have always dreamed of the Premier League, I have been following Arsenal since the days of Henry and Bergkamp. I watch videos of Arsenal all the time on YouTube and I often wear the current Alexis Sanchez shirt.”

Rudiger went on to say, ‘My heart beats for Arsenal.’

Seems as if Mourinho may have to find another top target for the January transfer window, as if Rudiger was to move to England his destination is likely to be Arsenal.
