Chelsea target Marco Verratti has reminded his club the desire to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer
According to reports in the mainstream, in another meeting with the club he threatened to not report for pre-season training.
The Italian midfielder is linked with both Barcelona and Chelsea, and Antonio Conte is said to be a long-time fan of a player he coached with the national team.
And now according to L’Equipe, Verratti has made it very clear that he has no intention of staying put in Paris, a feeling he strongly put forward during a meeting with PSG sporting director Antero Henrique on Saturday.
He has even said he will boycott the pre-season training with PSG, which begins on July 4, in an effort to force though a move.
Verratti is valued in excess of €80 million (£69.9m) by PSG, who will do everything possible to keep him at the club despite his latest threat.
It’s being reported that During the meeting with Henrique, he stated that his preference was to join Barcelona, but then another report says he said Chelsea and has already spoken to Antonio Conte about a move over to Stamford Bridge.
Having said that Barcelona are very keen and have said they will dig into the kitty to land the PSG star.
