The Blues have told AC Milan to give them De Sciglio and £8.7m for the midfielder

Chelsea have asked AC Milan to give them Mattia De Sciglio and £8.7m in exchange for Cesc Fabregas.

The Italian giants have a keen interest in the Spaniard and are hoping to be able to seal a deal for him during the winter transfer window in January.

They’ve already made several enquires about his availability during the summer and now Blues Antonio Conte has told the Serie A side his demands.

According to reports from Italy, Conte wants both £8.7m and defender Mattia De Sciglio, as he currently believes he is short on full-backs.

Fabregas struggled for gametime

The 23-year old has featured five times for AC Milan so far this season and is not only a key player for his club side but also for his national side too, where he is slowly becoming a mainstay in the side.

Fabregas on the other hand has been shunned by his club. He has struggled to get a regular starting spot or gametime for Chelsea so far, despite bagging himself two goals in his side’s 4-2 victory over Leicester in the EFL Cup.

Although Milan may be reluctant to let De Sciglio go, they are desperate to bring Fabregas to the club and may be willing to give in and give Antonio Conte what he wants in January.
