Blues ready to reveal Brazilian signing

Chelsea are reportedly ready to announce the signing of Nathan in a deal worth £4.5million.

The Atletico Paranaense playmaker has already undergone a medical at the West London club and has already tweeted about his delight of signing for the Premier League side, but nothing official from the club has come as of yet.

Porto Hijack Failed

There were initial fears that the deal may fall through as Portuguese side FC Porto tried to hijack the deal, but they failed in their bid to lure him to Portugal and now all is set for Chelsea to announce the deal.

Nathan was at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday watching his new team go up against local-rivals Arsenal and he has already admitted he’s spoken to several first-team players at Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho Wants Deal

The 19-year-old is likely to be sent out on loan for next season, but Jose Mourinho has admitted that he will do all he can to get the deal over the line.

“He’s a player that our structure follows and our structure thinks that he’s a player with potential for the future,” he said.

“And if the deal is to close I will try to help – as I try to help everyone – to become a Chelsea player.”

Possible Loan Move

Work permit regulations will be a concern for the English giants and that could be the main reason behind a season-long loan move for the midfielder.
