Roman Abramovich ready to spend big in summer

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to give his new manager a summer transfer kitty of around £210million, according to reports.

The Russian owner is set to have a busy summer, with Guus Hiddink set to leave the club after his short-term contract expires, and a new guy set to come in to Stamford Bridge, believed to be Antonio Conte.

Whoever the new manager is, Abramovich is ready to back them financially in the transfer window and is ready to give them a treasure chest of £210m to spend on new players.

Chelsea are fearful that some may leave over the summer due to no Champions League football next season, but the owner is adamant that they can sign players despite the lack of European football.

Summer Finances

According to reports, Abramovich will give the new manager £130m up-front to spend on new players, and then is expected to give the full fee from Eden Hazard‘s possible sale to the manager.

It’s believed Hazard could sell for up to £80m, which would take the £130m transfer kitty up to £210m.
