Chelsea is about to launch a £20 million bid for Andre Schurrle.
Earlier this month, they had a £17 million bid rejected for the 21 year old striker. Bayer Leverkusen are persistent that they would want to keep him in the team for next season.
According to the telegraph, Daniel Sturridge may leave Chelsea if the deal is completed.
The German seems like an ideal replacement for Sturridge with his tremendous amount of strength and pace. He would be able to play along the wings or in the centre of the midfield. He also possesses the ability to pass the ball around quickly and has a good vision.
Andre Schurrle has currently capped 16 times for his country and was recently part of the German Euro 2012 squad. He made 2 substitute appearances in both triumphs over Denmark and Greece.
