According to reports, Chelsea are ready to launch a Summer move for Tottenham Hotspur striker, Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Togo international has fallen down the pecking order this season due to the emergence of Harry Kane, who continued to fire last night in his England debut, scoring after just 80 seconds.
With Kane set to continue as Spurs’ number-one striker, it leaves Adebayor on the sidelines, but he may get a lifeline from an unlikely source as London rivals, Chelsea, are considering a Summer move.
The Blues are aware that Didier Drogba won’t be around for much longer and they are already searching for a replacement, and they believe Adebayor could be the perfect fit.
Jose Mourinho has worked with Adebayor before during his loan spell at Real Madrid and the Portuguese is keen to have a reunion with the 31-year-old.
According to reports, Spurs will listen to any offers just to get the striker off their wage bill.
