Chelsea to make a breakthrough in pursuit of defender

According to reports, Chelsea will try to make a breakthrough in their pursuit of Alex Sandro on Monday.

As per the Telegraph, on Monday Chelsea will try to make a breakthrough in their efforts to sign the 26-year-old Brazilian full back. Chelsea will try to conclude a deal as soon as possible after reports came in that PSG are also interested in signing the left-back. The fee for the left-back is thought to be ÂŁ61 million, breaking Chelsea’s previous record fee of ÂŁ50 million.

Conte is looking to bolster his defensive options and has had an eye on Sandro for quite sometime now, however, talks had been stalled, however, reports indicate that a deal will be struck soon.

Chelsea are also reportedly close to completing the signings of Rudiger and Bakayoko from Roma and Monaco respectably.

Rudiger has made 72 appearances for Roma since joining the Serie A giants back in 2015 but is expected to complete a switch to Stamford Bridge next week.

And Bakayoko is expected to have a medical sometime this week and complete the move to Chelsea.
