Chelsea to move for Charlie Austin

Queens Park Rangers star has been superb this season

Chelsea are preparing a shock Summer move for Queens Park Rangers star Charlie Austin.

The Blues may need to sign more homegrown and English players over the Summer and with a striker high on Jose Mourinho’s transfer wishlist, signing Austin could be a feasible option.

Striker Concerns

Mourinho is concerned about his strike-force due to Didier Drogba’s age and the fact that Loic Remy and Diego Costa are injury prone.

The 25-year-old striker has had a superb campaign for The Hoops and is leading their push for survival with 17 goals in 30 appearances so far this season.

Previous Business

Chelsea snatched QPR’s star-striker last Summer when buying Remy in a deal worth ÂŁ8m, so the West London rivals won’t want to lose yet another star to their local rivals.
