Chelsea are set to offer Bayern Munich star Toni Kroos £130k-a-week in order to fend off competition from Manchester United and Real Madrid.
The German midfielder has been strongly linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena this Summer after contract talks stalled between him and the club, and a few European giants have already declared their interest.
Kroos’ current deal at Munich expires next Summer, so Pep Guardiola has the decision to make of cashing in on him now, or face losing him on a free this time next year.
Real Madrid and United were leading the race for the 24-year-old’s signature, but since then, Jose Mourinho’s side are reportedly ready to offer the midfield-ace £130k-a-week to snub interest from the other clubs, and to join them instead.
Mourinho is keen to link Kroos with Cesc Fabregas next season, as he looks set to build-up his own Chelsea side.
