Blues want star-player to sign extension at club
Chelsea are set to offer Willian a new contract worth around £125k-a-week, according to reports.
In a very forgettable season for Chelsea, Willian has been an exception with some standout performances throughout the campaign, and Blues officials want to reward him for his fine form.
The Brazilian is set to be named Chelsea’s Player of the Year, and they are keen on getting him to sign a new long-term deal, which will see his weekly-wage increase to £125k-a-week.
New Contract
According to reports, Chelsea officials have already opened talks with the 27-year-old and are keen on getting him to sign a new four-year deal.
Should the winger sign the new deal, he will earn himself £25million from now until 2020.
Chelsea face an uncertain summer, with several players expected to leave and a new manager set to be named, but they want to ensure that Willian isn’t one of those players heading for the exit door.
