The Frenchman’s release clause is a whopping £43.5m
Chelsea will trigger Antoine Griezmann’s release clause of £43.5m this summer to seal a move for the Atletico Madrid man.
Jose Mourinho will be looking to bolster his attack at the end of the season and he wants the Frenchman to help do so. However, he won’t be cheap.
Huge Release Clause
Griezmann has a HUGE release clause of £43.5m in his contract and Chelsea are reportedly willing to match that fee to secure a deal. They mgith eb able to snaffle him for slightly cheaper, with Mundo Deportivo claiming Atletico are unwilling to pay him higher wages (meaning he looks likely to leave the club)
Either way, the Special One wants the 24-year old – who has scored 22 goals this season so far – and will reportedly pay whatever it takes to bring him to England
