West Ham United name their price

Chelsea have been informed by West Ham United that it will cost them a whopping £30million to sign striker Enner Valencia.

The 25-year-old forward, who only arrived at Upton Park this time last year, has been strongly linked with a move away from the club already, with Chelsea and several Serie A clubs all showing interest.

Asking Price Revealed

However, the interested parties have suffered a setback after being informed that it would cost them £30m to sign the Ecuadorian, despite him only netting four Premier League goals during the season.

The Hammers coughed up £12.5m for him this time last year, but believe his value have more than doubled despite his poor goal return throughout the 2014/2015 campaign.

Before moving to West Ham, Valencia was a prolific front-man for Pachuca, scoring 18 goals in 23 games, but he has struggled to adapt to the English style, despite the London outfit putting a £30m price-tag on his head.

When asked about his own future, Valencia admitted that he’s heard the interest from Chelsea and he’s stated that a move would interest him if the offer was right.

Valencia Aware of Interest

He said: “I have heard of the interest from Chelsea, yes. And other teams. But we are going to wait.

“You have to see what happens. If it is for my good and that of West Ham, then it is welcome.”

Chelsea’s Striker Hunt

Chelsea are in the market for a new striker after Didier Drogba announced his intentions to leave the club over the Summer, leaving The Blues with just Diego Costa and Loic Remy as striking options.

However, Remy has now been linked with a Summer move away as well with a trio of English clubs interested.

Recent reports have linked Chelsea with making formal moves for Valencia and Radamel Falcao from AS Monaco. The latter being a season-long loan rather than a permanent deal.
