Jose Mourinho, assistant manager Rui Faria and midfielder Ramires have all been charged by the FA after Chelsea’s loss to Sunderland. Mourinho has been charged with misconduct because of the comments he made post-match.

Ramires has been charged with violent conduct while Faria has been charged with two counts of misconduct. The Chelsea boss refused to answer any question’s after his side’s loss to Sunderland but he did however ‘congratulate’ the referee in the game, Mike Dean and also Mike Riley. After considering these remarks the FA decided that they call into question the integrity of Dean and/or Riley and also bring the game into disrepute.

Mourinho will now be given until 6pm on Monday 28th April to respond. Ramires has been charged because of an incident which occured with Sebastian Larsson off the ball and it wasn’t seen by match officials at the time. He now has until 6pm on Tuesday 24th April to respond to his charges.

Finally, the two charges for Faria follow allegations that he used abusive words towards the fourth official and that his behaviour eventually amounted to improper conduct once he left the technical area. The Assistant actually had to be restrained from confronting the referee after Sunderland were awarded the winning penalty. he, like Mourinho, has until 6pm on Monday 28th April to respond to these charges.
