Reasons For Chelsea vs West Ham predictions & Betting Tips

The Chelsea squad are favourites to win this match 1.49 with Unibet, with lowly West Ham priced at 7.50 with Unibet to cause an upset and take the three points at London Stadium.

Given recent form, it’s not hard to see why the Blues are the price they are. The Hammers are in freefall at the moment and look like prime candidates for relegation if they don’t improve soon.

Without a league win since September, a win over London rivals Chelsea would really boost confidence but looks almost impossible given how the team is playing under new manager David Moyes.

In truth, they were unlucky to lose at leaders Manchester City last weekend, with a late winner from David Silva compounding their misery and most likely damaging spirits even more.

Chelsea on the other hand are on the up in the league. It may be an 11 point gap between them and City, but there is still a lot of football to be played and they have to keep winning, which we think they will at 1.49 with Unibet.

We do expect West Ham to push them and give them a game, but Antonio Conte’s team have enough quality to overcome the challenge. A 2-1 away win is our prediction at 8.00 with Unibet.

Speaking of quality, Eden Hazard has been in great form this season – even for his particularly high standards. Back him to open the scoring on Saturday at 5.50 with bet365.

Chelsea vs West Ham Form

Chelsea face West Ham at London Stadium early on Saturday afternoon. Both teams need the win for different reasons, with the Blues looking to close the 11 point gap on leaders Manchester City in defence of their Premier League title.

Chelsea Form

Chelsea’s form has improved in the last month or so, particularly in the league where they have won 6 of their last 7. On Tuesday they drew 1-1 with Atletico Madrid, meaning they finished second in their Champions League.

West Ham Form

New manager David Moyes is already under pressure at West Ham, and is yet to win at his new club who lie 19th in the table. The fixture list hasn’t been kind to him though, and they were unlucky to lose late on at Man City last week.
