Blues not interested in Pep Guardiola despite latest comments
Chelsea are not interested in hiring Pep Guardiola, according to reports, despite his recent comments about managing in the Premier League.
The Spaniard came out yesterday and confirmed that he’s leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season in order to move to England to manage a Premier League club.
Chelsea and the two Manchester clubs were the names being mentioned, as well as Arsenal being a small possibility, but reports today have all-but ruled the Blues out of the race.
Simeone the Wanted Man
According to reports, Roman Abramovich wants to hire Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone and will try and lure him away from the La Liga giants at the end of the season.
Chelsea are looking for a new permanent manager following Jose Mourinho‘s sacking, and it looks like Simeone is their number-one choice to replace interim-boss Guus Hiddink at the end of the season.
Simeone has worked wonders at Atletico, winning the Europa League, La Liga, Super Cup, Copa del Ray and the Spanish Super Cup since taking charge at the Vicente Calderon Stadium back in 2011. He also guided them to a Champions League final, which they missed out on after conceding in the dying seconds.
