The Blues are not the only English club eyeing up the Argentinian midfielder

Chelsea could be lining up a bid for PSG midfielder Javier Pastore in January.

Pastore, 26, joined the French champions in 2011 for an undisclosed fee, thought to be in the region of £30million.

Since the summer arrival of Angel Di Maria from Manchester United, Pastore has seen limited first-team opportunities, notching up just eight league appearances.

Hazard’s replacement?

Chelsea‘s key performers from last season have been a shadow of their former selves, and Eden Hazard found out the hard way as he was dropped to the bench in the win over Aston Villa.

Last season’s PFA Player of the Year has recently been linked with a move to Real Madrid and his work-rate has been questioned by Jose Mourinho.

“I left out Hazard because we are conceding lots of goals. We need to defend better.

“It was just a tactical decision, leaving super quality on the bench, but bringing tactical discipline and hoping that the team could be solid.

“Willian and Pedro did amazing defensive work and allowed the midfield players to be very comfortable. I continue that way, or he comes in our direction and tries to replicate the same work that Willian and Pedro did.”

Arsenal and Liverpool are two other Premier League sides that have shown interest while Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan are also keen on the player.
