On-loan Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has admitted that his parent club will have the final say regarding where his future lies.

The Belgium international, who is currently on loan at Everton for the season, knows that this Summer will be pivotal to his career and despite dropping hints that his future is away from Stamford Bridge, he has now admitted that it’s down to Jose Mourinho and the club whether or not he stays or goes.

Lukaku has spent the last two seasons away from Chelsea, one year at West Brom and now this season at Everton, and with Mourinho planning on splashing the cash on Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid, the reports are suggesting that he will sell all his strikers at the moment in order to raise the funds.

Speaking in a recent interview, Lukaku admitted that the final say over his future will be with his parent club and whatever they decide to do regarding his career.

“We’ll see at the end of the season. I’m focusing on my performances at Everton.

“I still have a contract until 2016 at Chelsea and I think they’re happy about the way I’m developing.

“They have the last word, so we shall see what’s happening next.”
