The Blues are reportedly working on a deal to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko, reports say Antonio Conte has identified the Monaco midfielder as one of his top targets.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea are trying to complete a move for the France international who is apparently also attracting interest from The Red Devils.
The 22-year-old has had a decent season for Monaco, helping them climb to the top of Ligue 1 and progress into the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Reports claim that Both United and Chelsea are big admirers of Bakayoko and watched the defensive midfielder in action during Monaco’s 3-1 win over Manchester City last month.
While it’s true Conte had scouted Bakayoko, it is not confirmed if he is a ‘top transfer target’ or a deal is in the works, further more Conte recently stated he is no t looking at any deals or anything like that until the season is finished.
So it’s highly unlikely a move is being made now.
