Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has taken a jibe at big spenders Liverpool. The Reds are scheduled to visit Wembley where they will take on Spurs which is expected to be a cracker of a match.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were one of the biggest spenders in the summer as they splashed a whopping £167.9m to bring the likes of Naby Keita, Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson in a bid to place them in a better position this season and the results are already reflecting as the Reds have managed to grind out four wins out of four.
On the contrary, Spurs have had a bit of erratic start to this campaign. They decided to sit quietly in the transfer window as not a single player arrived at the north London club.
But despite not spending in the summer Eriksen feels they do have the ammunition to derail Liverpool’s plans. “We’ve had the same team for the last three seasons and we’ve been up there so we should be up there again, that’s our aim.
“They can buy as many players as they want but we have the same squad and we’re going to go for it so it’ll be an intense game.
“We’ll see where we end up at the end of the season, we’re looking forward to it
“I think and hope it will be a good game to watch. They are two teams who want to play forward and want to attack.”
