ESPN FC reports that Chelsea have forwarded a €50m offer to Borussia Dortmund for Christian Pulisic.

The Blues have been eyeing up a move for the 20-year-old for quite some time now and are making the necessary moves just ahead of the January transfer window. Dortmund is willing to sell Pulisic but only after the end of the 2018/19 season.

German publication, Bild believes that the two clubs have agreed on a £45m fee ‘verbally’. Arsenal were also reported to be in the race but their bid fell almost £10m shorter than Chelsea’s.

Pulisic’ contract is set to run for another season, which Dortmund fears could lead to complications of a free transfer. The USA international does not plan on staying in Germany for long and BVB are aware of that.

An interesting post of one of Pulisic’s former international teammates, Eddie Johnson certainly fastened the freight train of transfer rumours posted regarding his Chelsea move. The Fulham striker posted across social media, congratulating Pulisic for his confirmed move to the Premier League.

The message read, “So stoked for you lil’ bro, great move. Can’t wait to watch you alongside Eden Hazard.”

It is still unclear whether Johnson is just reacting to the latest news thread without having any inside information but it has certainly sent the Blues fans into a frenzy.
