Claudio Ranieri is back In the Premier League and this time he will be seen managing Fulham.

Slavisa Jokanovic has been relieved of his duties by the West London club as under his guidance Fulham managed just a single win in the Premier League so far. Ranieri believed to have signed a multiyear deal and will now oversee the team with immediate effect.

The Premier League winner’s first test will be a home encounter against Southampton at Craven Cottage. The former Leicester City manager’s last job was in France where he led Nantes to the ninth position in the Ligue 1.

Ranieri was surprisingly sacked by Leicester City last year after he guided the team to the 5000-1 Premier League title in the 2015/16 season. He also managed Chelsea for a brief period following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho so the manager does have plenty of knowledge about the Premier League situations.

Ranieri said, “It is an honour to accept Mr. Khan’s invitation and opportunity to lead Fulham, a fantastic club with tradition and history.

“The objective at Fulham should never be to merely survive in the Premier League. We must at all times be a difficult opponent and should expect to succeed.

“This Fulham squad has exceptional talent that is contrary to its position in the table. I know this team is very capable of better performances, which we will work on straight away as we prepare for Southampton at the Cottage.”
