It is believed that Nacional Montevideo are in talks with Liverpool to take out of favour Sebastien Coates back to his homeland, on loan.
It is fair to say that Coates has not had the best of times at Liverpool as injuries and bad performances have hindered the central defender’s development. Still only 23, big things were expected of Coates at Liverpool as he arrived having recently won Copa America Best Young Player award in 2011 after helping his native Uruguay lift the trophy. But thus far he has not been able to make an impact at Liverpool despite an unforgettable overhead kick against QPR.
The 23 year old recently said that he was making ‘slow progress’ in his comeback from injury.
“You always think positively, I think that’s the most important thing. In my case, I keep myself going by focusing on getting myself back as quickly as I can, and with the National Team, the World Cup is another goal to help me with my recovery.”
