The Blues have handed defender Todd Kane a new three-year contract.
Kane, who has not yet made any senior appearance for Chelsea, has been with the Blues since he was seven years old.
The 23-year-old spent the majority of last season on loan at Dutch club NEC Nijmegen, he’s also had loan spells over at Blackburn, Nottingham Forest, Preston and Bristol City.
Kane is currently recovering from a knee injury which he picked up over the weekend, the damage to his ACL sidelines him for a 4-6 month recovery, minimum.
