Charlie Wakefield joins Stevenage on loan from Chelsea
Charlie Wakefield has joined Stevenage FC on a one year loan deal from Chelsea.
It has been agreed that the winger will at first continue to rehab from injury at Cobham, before joining up with the squad in September/October.
Wakefield, who has been with the Blues since Under-12 level, said: “Proud moment to sign a new contract with @chelseafc today.
“It’s been a difficult time for me these last few months, with on and off injuries, but mentally I’ve stayed strong, focused and got on with the situation that I’ve been in, good things take time and everything happens for a reason… I’m now soon back playing.
“I feel the best I’ve felt and I’m ready to prove to a lot of people just how good I am, thanks for the messages and support.
Chelsea football club wished Charlie Wakefield well on his loan spell at Stevenage FC next season.
