AS Roma star Radja Nainggolan has heavily suggested that the Blues have ended talks about any potential transfer this summer without agreeing a deal.
The 28-year-old has been without a doubt one of Roma’s stand-out performers over the past two seasons, and his display on the pitch has enticed very strong interest from Chelsea.
However, the departure of Nainggolan’s teamate Miralem Pjanic to Juventus recently raised speculation that Roma will do what it takes to not lose another star player.
Speaking at a press conference in France just after Belgium’s qualification for the final 16 at Euro 2016, Nainggolan said he was happy over in Rome and that talks with the Blue have now come to an end.
“I cannot comment on this,” Nainggolan initially said when asked about a move to Chelsea. “Yes they (Chelsea and Roma) were talking, but at the moment there is nothing.
And when asked about a promise made to Pallotta about remaining in Rome, Nainggolan added: “I said I love where I am playing, so why not?
“The Premier League is a good competition, lovely. But sometimes in life you need to make choices and I don’t know what my future will be, but I can say that I am happy where I am.”
