Wolves defender Conor Coady insists they need to be tighter in the backline as they do have the knack of conceding silly goals.

The newly promoted side survived a scare as they got the better of Leicester City in a 4-3 thriller in the Premier League. Nuno Espirito Santo has had a tough time balancing the act as his side has now leaked eight goals in the last three matches.

Clean sheet has been a rare thing these days as the Midland giants have failed to keep guard of their goal properly. But the Wolves captain is aware of their defensive lapses and has urged his side to be more conscious.

“I was ecstatic to win but we should never have found ourselves in that position.

We said at half-time to make sure we managed the game right and we never did that. To concede three at home isn’t good from our point of view. From a defensive point of view, we want to look at it and get better. The start of the second half wasn’t good enough.

“It was a tough day, Leicester are a good side but the goals weren’t good enough from our point of view.

“It’s hard to (focus) when you’re in the middle of something like that, especially when they scored the first goal and they’ve got their tails up. “You’re trying to speak to everyone to make sure we keep our shape and stay together.

“Then the second one goes in and you’re thinking we don’t need this.”
