A bit of good news and bad news for the Blues.
While the Blues boss has confirmed that Cesc Fabregas will miss this weekends Southampton vs Chelsea clash, there is some good news regarding the probable Chelsea XI.
Branislav Ivanovic has returned and will be included in the Chelsea starting lineup vs Southampton.
Conte confirmed last week Fabregas had suffered an “unusual” injury, and the 29-year-old has been sidelined the last three league fixtures
Then again on Wednesday’s defeat to West Ham in the EFL Cup.
The Spain International has not been the same seen since the Blues defeat to Arsenal in September, in which he had a hard time.
Speaking ahead of the trip to Southampton this weekend, Conte revealed at the press conference that Cesc Fabregas would miss the match,
However, Branislav Ivanovic – who had missed the last three EPL games with a muscle injury, was fit again.
This was also confirmed on the Chelsea Football Club Official Twitter account.
