Antonio Conte has predicted a bright future for Chelsea’s academy stars and revealed that five are closing in on breakthroughs into the main squad.

The Italian singled out Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ethan Ampadu, Dujon Sterling, Kyle Scott and Trevor Chalobah as the Stamford Bridge stars of tomorrow, with all five set to travel with the team for the FA Cup clash with Hull.

He is convinced that Chelsea have serious quality coming through their young ranks, and he’s planning on utilising it during Friday night’s contest.

When asked if Ampadu and Hudson-Odoi would play against Hull, he replied: “Yes, I think that in the past in the Carabao Cup I gave them the chance to play and we are talking about two of the best players in our academy in Ampadu and, for me, it’s not difficult to predict a brilliant future for this player.

“It’s the same for Odoi. There’s Sterling, Chalobah’s brother and Scott and they’re coming with us for the game tomorrow. I think Chelsea’s future is very brilliant for these young players.”
