Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso has said that he is not sure whether France teammate Benjamin Pavard will join him at Bayern Munich. The 22-year old right-back has been linked to Bayern Munich. Pavard was brilliant during the World Cup this summer. He played all but one of France’s matches. The right-back scored his first international goal through a stunning long-range shot against Argentina. His goal was eventually voted as the goal of the tournament.
Tolisso said that he discussed the transfer rumors with Pavard during the World Cup but is not sure if the 22-year old will join him at Bayern. Tolisso said,”I don’t know if he will come this year, next year, or one day to Bayern Munich. I’m like everyone else, I can see the rumors on Twitter: ‘Benjamin Pavard to Bayern Munich’. I made jokes to him [during the World Cup], but I don’t know if he will come or not. I said to him, ‘Are we going to go back together? Are we going to play together next year?’ But he laughed every time. He said nothing to me so I don’t know at all if Ben will be with us this year, next year, or one day at Bayern Munich.”
Benjamin Pavard is currently plying his trade at VfB Stuttgart. The club will play their first match of the season against third division club Hansa Rostock in the DFB Pokal. Stuttgart start their Bundesliga campaign against Mainz 05 next Sunday.
