Dutch International Frank de Boer has spoken out stating he dismissed the managerial job at Liverpool before they brought Brendan Rodgers in.
The Reds had spoken to De Boer in 2012, this was two years into his Ajax residency, however the 44-year-old has uncovered he left behind the chance to oversee the Reds in the Premier League.
‘Two years ago I was very honoured that Liverpool asked me if I was interested in the job,’ De Boer said.
‘There was still was other candidates also. But I just signed a new contract and I said you are too early at this moment.’
in a twist for the Anfield outfit Frank De Boer is now being linked with the top job over at Newcastle.
