Alan Pardew wants reunion with midfielder
Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has confirmed the club are looking into signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
The French international has failed to impress in Paris and cannot get into Laurent Blanc‘s starting XI due to serious competition in the middle of the park.
Cabaye Seeks Return
After spending just a year in his homeland, Cabaye is now ready to return to England in order to play regular first-team football once again, especially with the European Championships coming next year.
Newcastle United were interested in re-signing their former-star, but it now looks like Palace are in pole position with Alan Pardew keen on having a reunion with the 29-year-old.
The duo worked together during their time at St James Park, and it was Cabaye’s impressive form that helped guide The Magpies to a fifth-placed finish a few seasons ago.
Palace Interest Confirmed
When speaking to radio station TalkSPORT, Parish admitted that the club are looking into the possibility of signing the PSG outcast.
“He’s a seasoned international, so it’s definitely one we are working on.”
It’s believed Cabaye would cost more than £10million, but that hasn’t put The Eagles off.
