Everton’s Yannick Bolasie has returned to the Goodison Park after his loan spell with Aston Villa got cut short and Crystal Palace are reportedly looking to reunite with the 29-year-old winger.

Bolasie has faced a lot of struggles since his move away from Selhurst Park in the summer of 2016. After a horrible leg injury, the DR Congo international could not exactly return to his previous form.

He was on the highlight reel almost in every season he spent with the Eagles. However, after his ÂŁ25m switch to Merseyside, it has all gone downhill for Bolasie.

Palace are currently in the 14th spot of the Premier League but are simply 3 points away from the relegation zone. They would not mind adding another piece into their attacking lineup especially one Roy Hodgson is familiar with.

According to journalist, Peter O’Rourke, Bolasie is not in Marco Silva’s long term plans at Goodison with the winger yet to register a single game under the new boss. The Toffees have added Richarlison for £50m last summer and also have the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Ademola Lookman and Theo Walcott in the club lineup.

They are looking to trim some of the fat in order to bring in new faces ahead of the next campaign. Bolasie’s will soon 30 with two years still left on his current deal. This is the best time for Everton the extract the most value out of him, even if they have to take a significant loss on the trade back to Palace.
