CSKA Moscow have opened fresh contract negotiations with forward Seydou Doumbia in an attempt to stave off interest from a variety of clubs this January.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham have all been credited with an interest in the Ivorian, who has a buy-out clause of ÂŁ25 million in his current contract which runs until the summer of 2016.

Doumbia has already proven himself against English opposition, having netted against Manchester City in this season’s Champions League earlier this month.

His reprasentative Jean Bernard Beytrison said: ‘We are currently in negotiations over a new contract. There is plenty of interest from England plus clubs in Spain, Germany and Italy.

‘He is a goalscorer and there aren’t many of them around. However, he is contracted to CKSA and clubs will have to pay their fee.’
