Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado attended last night’s Capital One Cup semi-final first leg between Liverpool and Chelsea at Anfield.

This appearance by the Columbian has furthered speculation he will join Chelsea as a like-for-like replacement for Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah, who wants out of Stamford Bridge.

After starring in the 2014 World Cup for quarter-finalists Coumbia, Cuadrado snubbed a move to Manchester United to sign a new five-year deal with Fiorentina.

This new contract contains a ÂŁ26.8 million buy-out clause, which Chelsea are rumoured to exploit if Salah leaves the Blues in this transfer window.

However, when Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was asked about Cuadrado’s presence in his post-match press conference, he stated he was unaware.

The Blue’s boss said: “He was here?”

Reportedly, Cuadrado was invited by Chelsea’s kit sponsors and manufacturers Adidas to attend the match in Liverpool.
